This is taken in the lobby of The Landing, a heritage building at the top of Water Street in Gastown.
This is pretty much the composition from the camera. I used the lens correction filter to straighten some lines.

Evan Leeson is a fabulous photographer. I admire his work greatly. I especially love this photo because I am fond of pianos. Yes, looking at them is awesome but actually touching the action of the keys is thrilling. Pianos are all different. I find the action of the keys on a baby grand to be a bit tight. Old upright pianos are somewhat easier to play. Perhaps that is because the strings are somewhat stretched.
There is also a Steamclock on Water Street in Gastown, Vancouver. You will find lots of artists, boutiques and restaurants there and of course, this piano.

"Smoke Fairies have the endorsement of Jack White (credited as drummer/multi instrumentalist/producer) on their new single 'Gastown'. They are Katherine Blamire and Jessica Davies who have been crafting haunting left field folk together since their school days. 'Gastown' is a laid back folk rock effort featuring some nifty Crosby, Stills and Nash sounds, sweet vocal harmonies and fine guitar solos. It's accompanied by 'River Song' which, again, features some beautiful vocal parts as well as embracing sounds with a folk melody. Very atmospheric.

These gals have very interesting, mesmerizing harmonies. Not my favorite music to listen to but none the less these 2 guitarists are very talented. If you're interested in their style or learning more about them, you might want to stop by and watch their videos.

The Vancouver International Jazz Festival celebrated its 25th year and Montreal singer Nikki Yanofsky
was there. I love her style and unique voice. The night time skies of Vancouver remind me of a song.
