Let It Rain and Healing Rain- Michael W. Smith

I wanted to take a moment today and honor my friend and webmaster Mark Elliot.
I attended his memorial service yesterday. It was a sweet time of gathering with family and friends at the church. I am so deeply appreciative of all the new beginnings of having my own website. And so grateful for all of you who visit my blog. I thank you for stopping by. Folks, everyone we meet is for a reason... there is a purpose.
There's a special song by Michael W. Smith, Let It Rain, that is easy for the beginner and intermediate piano player. You can see the different chord charts listed below. I personally like vamping on C#, G#, Bbm, and F#. It 's fun to play on those black keys!

Another favorite song of mine is Healing Rain!

C
Healing rain is coming down
C
It's coming nearer to this old town
C
Rich and poor, weak and strong
C
It's bringing mercy, it won't be long
C
Healing rain is coming down
C
It's coming closer to the lost and found
C
Tears of joy, and tears of shame
C
Are washed forever in Jesus' name
G Am
Healing rain, it co mes with fire
F C
So let it fall and take us higher
G Am
Healing rain, I'm not afraid
F C
To be washed in Heaven's rain
C
Lift your heads, let us return
C
To the mercy seat where time began
C
And in your eyes, I see the pain
C
Come soak this dry heart with healing rain
G Am
And only You, the Son of man
F C
Can take a leper and let him stand
G Am
So lift your hands, they can be held
F C
By someone greater, the great I Am
G Am
Healing rain, it comes with fire
F C
So let it fall and take us higher
G Am
Healing rain, I'm not afraid
F
To be washed in Heaven's rain

To be washed in Heaven's rain...
C
Healing rain is falling down
G
Healing rain is falling down

I'm not afraid
F
I'm not afraid...

Help by The Beatles

Cucumbers grow on vinesImage via Wikipedia
Funny thing happened on the way to my garden... the zucchini and cucumbers would not stop growing! Wish you were here to participate in the harvest. So, after seeing the abundance in my garden, this song popped into my mind, you know the song "Help" by the Beatles?
* This article is about the song by The Beatles. For the song by Lloyd Banks
"Help!" is a song by The Beatles that served as the title song for both the album Help! and the film Help!. It was also released as a single, and was #1 for three weeks in both the USA and UK. "Help!" was written primarily by John Lennon, but credited (as all Beatles song written by either person) to Lennon/McCartney. Paul McCartney reports that he had a hand in writing the song as well, being called in "to complete it" in a two-hour joint writing session on 4 April 1965 at Lennon's house in Weybridge.[1] He later said that the title was "out of desperation".[2] In 2004, "Help!" was ranked number 29 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
